Muscat recently, with the occasion graced by guest of honour H E
Ahmed bin Suliman Al Maimani, Undersecretary for Administrative,
Financial and Regional Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and
Industry. Ross Cormack, Nawras CEO welcomed the guests with a short
speech to get the evening’s entertaining programme underway.

Al-Lawati covered the scope of Nawras fixed line services as he
outlined the pleasingly different impact this new network will have.
He spoke about the great value international calls and fast Internet
that the International gateway will allow Nawras to provide, as well
as the competitive advantage of a having customer-focused culture.
He continued with an outline of the unique assets this award winning
communications company can claim including access to fixed net
expertise through Qtel.
Javier Gonzalez Pinal,
principal at Oliver Wyman followed with an enlightening overview on
the corporate telecom market in Oman before Naji Chakhtoura of
NavLink spoke about his company’s positive partnership with Nawras
to bring a portfolio of high value managed services to the Omani
enterprise market.
Three corporate customers took to the stage to share their own
stories about how Nawras has helped them to successfully get more
from their business.
Mustafa Al'Hinai, head of IT and MIS at Taageer Finance Company was
up first. He said, “My colleagues and I always feel that we are
treated as a top priority for Nawras. We have really gained a
remarkable experience with Nawras Business Solutions. Really Nawras
has changed the image of telecommunications by providing competing
and high-tech services to individuals and corporate clients. We
thank Nawras for their excellence and premier support to our
business.”
Manjunath Nayak, finance manager at Special Technical Services L.L.C.,
highlighted the drop in telecom expenses that his company has
experienced since choosing Nawras. He noted a drop in costs of both
local and international calls thanks to a combination of excellent
price plans and discounts. Closed User Group (CUG) has led to better
communication with no call charges and just a nominal monthly fee.
“I can undoubtedly state that Nawras is value for money. That

pleasure to deal with such a provider,” Nayak concluded.
Gautam Deshpande from the OTE Group is responsible for human
resources and administration. He told the assembled guests how the
CUG facility has made an enormous difference in the medium of

services. He went on to compliment the friendly business culture

will be staged at the Sur Beach Hotel on Tuesday 27 October before
moving to Nizwa on 4 November and Salalah on 11 November.
